2020 - a challenging time
30 September 2020
Dear Club Members,
Unfortunately we were not able to re commence polocrosse carnivals in NSW in 2020 as planned back in July. Now with the NSW Government easing restrictions again, enabling weekend stay overs, and with the weather now warming up, PA NSW encourages clubs and members to get back together and under take some polocrosse activity prior to Christmas. This can be in the form of either local practises, come and try days for new participants, and even some organised coaching.
We are in the process of planning for 2021 and how we can get our sport back up and running next season. We continue to work closely with the Polocrosse Association of Australia (PAA) to ensure our sport remains strong now and into the future during this very trying period.
I acknowledge that recent times have been testing for many people in our community and the Polocrosse family is not isolated from the pressures of the world with many of us not able to socialise as usual on the weekends. It is with this in mind that I encourage you to reach out and talk to those people you would normally see on weekends to ensure they are OK.
The Polocrosse community highly values all of its members and the communities in which we live and work. We need to look after each other and if you think someone needs support, then reach out to them as a friend or if they need to seek professional help, then assist them to contact bodies such as Lifeline, Beyond Blue or Kids Helpline.
Regards,
Andrew Rose
