Vale Sandy Bull
Some of the older members of the polocrosse community will be saddened to learn of the passing of Sandy Bull on 7th January 2021.
Sandy was an avid player in the late 50's and early 60's, and loved to tell his family all about his days playing polocrosse, the people he met, where he played etc. He was quite chuffed last February, when a photo was shared on the Australian Polocrosse Championships page (13 February) of his team from the 1961 Championships:
The photo above was the 1961 Polo Cross Championships held at Singleton

Sandy started playing in 1956 with the Binnaway juniors. He then played for Coolah and also for Muswellbrook who paid his freight and board to travel to Bowral in 1964. He represented Western Zone and Hunter Zone and was asked by Darryl Smith at one stage to go play at Inverell. Sandy finished playing in 1966.
Some great memories. Our sympathies are with his family.
