PANSW Constitution Update
We're thrilled to share some significant updates to the Polocrosse Association of NSW Constitution, designed to ensure compliance with new legislation, transparency in operations, and a clearer understanding of your rights and responsibilities. This overhaul reflects our commitment to fostering a strong, united, and transparent community.
Key highlights include a streamlined process for commencing and terminating memberships, the introduction of a comprehensive dispute resolution mechanism, and a revamped disciplinary procedure for a fair and transparent process. The Board's obligations have been realigned with the new legislation, and provisions for virtual attendance at general meetings have been introduced, making it easier for members to participate.
Financial matters are addressed with new provisions on the use of Association funds, ensuring responsible and accountable management. The Zones and Classes of Membership remain, providing continuity with the old Constitution. Additionally, we've clarified that day-to-day procedures and policies will be detailed in separate By-laws, ensuring a clear distinction between corporate governance and operational procedures.
Your input is crucial, so we urge all members to thoroughly review the updated Constitution before our next information session (Tuesday 5 December, 7:30pm) and submit any questions you may have. Your understanding and feedback will shape the future of our Association. The final document will be put up for adoption at the PANSW AGM in February 2024.
Saddle up and dive into the details - let's make this update a collective success!
