RESUMPTION OF ACTIVITIES - COVID Protocols
As previously advised, NSW polocrosse practice and coaching can commence from 1 July, with competitions recommencing from 1 August 2020.
PA NSW have developed COVID 19 Protocols that must be followed at all events.
The organisers / hosts of all events must also maintain an attendance register, for all who attend the venue. A link to download the document is below.
A COVID Declaration Form must also be completed by all participants, supporters, volunteers, etc. One form for each household must be completed for each event. Members can print off copies to keep in their trucks/vehicles to present at each event/activity they attend.
Please note these protocols and requirements for registers and Declarations will be monitored and reviewed as required and as circumstances allow.
The full document is shown below.
PANSW continue to monitor the ongoing membership situation and requests for refunds in respect to the 2020 season.
Grants from NSW Office of Sport - all eligible Clubs
Community Sport Recovery Fund
NSW Polocrosse has been successful in securing funding through the NSW Office of Sport, Community Sport Recovery Package. This package includes a ‘Grassroots Sport Fund’ which can provide one-off grants of up to $1,000 to eligible clubs to assist the resumption of community sport from 1 July 2020.
The Grants are to be administered through the PA NSW, whereby PA NSW is required to assess the eligibility of NSW clubs and provide the payments.
The Grants are to assist organisations impacted by the COVID 19 shutdown, with fixed costs incurred between March and June 2020. To be eligible Clubs should not have already received financial assistance from local, state or Commonwealth governments or others.
Grant funds can be used for fixed costs such as insurances, power, telephone and internet, fixed vehicle or equipment costs (lease, registration). Other base operating costs including: State Affiliation fees; EFTPOS and banking fees; IT support arrangements; and essential equipment.
The Application Form, link below, must be completed by each Club seeking grant funds and returned to the PA NSW Book Keeper, Belinda Cosgrove at nswpabookkeeper@gmail.com by 15th July 2020.
PA NSW is required to confirm eligibility, and make payments to each Club by 31st July 2020.
The timeframe is very short for applications, verification and then making these payments. Your assistance is therefore sought in ensuring all information provided is correct and timely.
If you have any questions regarding the eligibility of your Club, or items you can claim for, please contact your Zone Secretary. The Zone Secretaries will be the liaison points for the SEO (Cathy Bennett) and NSW Book Keeper (Belinda Cosgrove).
