The PANSW AGM will be held Friday 25 February 2022 at Coolah commencing at 12:00 noon. The AGM will be held in conjunction with the training weekend for Nationals teams to be held on the weekend 26/27 February. Separate communications specific to the AGM will be issued shortly.

• Following the resignation in early December of the PANSW Coaching panel, the board would like to acknowledge the efforts & hard work of Coaching Director, Christie Hunt & panel members David Mortimer & Sandra Weston. They have all volunteered many hours over a number of years & we thank them for their time on the panel.                                                                                

The Board would like to announce and congratulate the Coaches & Managers for Ballarat Nationals and thank them for their support and enthusiasm for the revised coaching format.

As discussed at the November Half Yearly meeting, there will be a State training weekend for Ballarat 2022 teams, scheduled for 26/27 February at the Cassilis club grounds in Coolah. The format of the training weekend will be advised to participants once details are finalised. It is requested that all players, coaches & managers attend the weekend if at all possible.

An updated design of PANSW warm up jackets has been sourced & will be available for Ballarat Nationals players, coaches and managers. The jacket is a new soft-shell material with a zip down the centre front. Cost $95.00 each. Sub-Juniors wear the jacket at formal Nationals events in place of a blazer & members of other teams can also place an order for the new design. Each zone was invited to nominate a representative to join a committee to consider ideas & suggestions in regard to revamping & revitalising the NSW Club and Zone Championships. This is in response to diminishing nominations & support for these events over recent years. Zone Champs have been allocated to Dunedoo in 2022 but at this stage Club Champs have not been scheduled. If your Club is interested in hosting the event, please contact the SEO. If you have ideas to contribute, please contact the SEO or a member of the Clubs/Zone Champs committee. RO'S HORSE TRANSPORT

To avoid event clashes & allow a smoother calendar planning process, all clubs planning major events for 2023 need to submit a detailed event proposal to PANSW for consideration prior to 31 January 2022. Once event concept/details are approved by the Board, the event proposals will be tabled for approval by Council at the February AGM for inclusion in the 2023 calendar.

NSW players & personnel have dominated the PAA teams to play a test series against New Zealand at Warwick in conjunction with the Barastoc Tournament, May 2022. We congratulate Laura Donnelly, Lucy Grills, Lauren Sibley (Reserve), Matt Davison, Abbott Grills, Jim Grills, Luke Saul, Will Weston, Islay Young (Reserve), Arch Anderson (Coach Men’s), Paul Keir (Manager Women’s) & Caitlyn Greenwood (Manager Men’s).

Toni Davidge has been appointed the PAA National Team Manager where she will provide guidance, mentor & act as a single communication & coordination point for all PAA team managers. Toni’s many years of experience will be extremely beneficial to the development of future managers & we congratulate Toni on her appointment.

The Australian Stock Horse Society is pleased to launch the ASHS Hi-Point Polocrosse Awards. These awards are open to ALL Competition Eligible, Registered Australian Stock Horses playing polocrosse Nationally and Internationally.

Best Playing ASHS Certificates will be awarded throughout the 2022 Polocrosse Season at Club Carnivals. Points are accumulated by the number of certificates won throughout the year. Certificates will be awarded to Zone Level winners. Rugs and cash prizes will be awarded to State and National level winners.

Due to depleted stocks of raw material and the inability to source the usual polocrosse balls, Bennett Polocrosse have developed a new ball which will be trialled during 2022. Samples of the new ball have been sent to the PAA, each State Association and a number of players to trial and provide feedback. Whilst the ball is not exactly the same and has some variation in performance under different conditions, at this stage it is the most feasible alternative.
